Financial Planners – Melbourne
Director, Certified Financial Planner™ and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, Angelo has been a financial adviser since 1990. Angelo holds expert knowledge across all aspects of Financial Planning. This ranges from investment markets to insurance, SMSFs and Centrelink entitlements. Angelo established PFG Financial Services Pty Ltd in 1990, after recognising the need for the provision of quality financial advice in Australia. Angelo commenced his business in a serviced office with just one telephone line. Today PFG Financial Services Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s largest AMP Financial Planning businesses with more than 25 staff and offices in Melbourne and Brisbane.
In his spare time Angelo enjoys a game of golf, supporting his beloved Blues and spending time with his young family.
Senior Financial Planner
Daniel has been a financial adviser since 2004. He is a Certified Financial Planner, member of the Financial Planning Association, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a SMSF Specialist Adviser with the SMSF Association. Daniel is also accredited to give Aged Care advice.
Daniel is a past winner of the SMSF Association’s prestigious Top Achiever Award.
Prior to becoming a financial adviser, Daniel worked as a Chartered Accountant having successfully completed his Professional Year qualification in 1995. Daniel is currently a member of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants .
Specialties: Daniel specialises in self managed super funds and aged care. Other areas of significant experience include superannuation, investment, retirement planning, asset structuring and estate planning.
Frank is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP), a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and became a financial adviser in 1990. Prior to a career in Financial Planning, Frank was a secondary teacher and had a specialist qualification in Special Education. It was the experience in this profession that has encouraged Frank to educate his clients in the area of personal insurance and investment so that they might have a better understanding of their requirements and financial solutions. Frank is committed to putting the needs of his clients foremost and particularly in the area of personal risk and wealth creation. Many of Frank’s clients are in SME’s, where he focuses on personal and business protection and succession planning.
Frank is a very active person involved in golf, tennis, running, cycling, bushwalking and camping. He values the time spent with family as paramount and constantly strives to maintain a healthy life balance.
Certified Financial Planner
Vince has been a Financial Planner since 2013. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Risk Management and is a Certified Financial Planner. Vince has over 6 years’ experience in the industry having first started out as a Paraplanner.
Vince’s expertise includes advice in Superannuation, Retirement Planning, Debt Management, Wealth Creation, Estate Planning & Personal Insurance Planning.
Outside of work Vince is a family man. He enjoys AFL & is heavily involved in the Local Footy Club with being Senior Captain. Other hobbies include vintage cars & motorbikes.
Stephen joined PFG in 2012 after completing a Bachelors of Finance degree at LaTrobe University. Since commencing with PFG he has applied his education and knowledge into his career path and developed through all levels of the business through to a financial planner role.
He understands the importance of sound financial advice through educating clients and assisting them to make decisions in order to effectively plan through their life journey and future financial prosperity both now and throughout retirement.
Outside of work Stephen enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as travelling and spending time down the coast.
Adam has been a Financial Adviser since 2013 and he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a Finance Major. He is also hold an Advanced Diploma in financial Planning and currently completing the Certified Financial Planning program. Prior to becoming a financial adviser, Adam worked in the hospitality and tourism industry working across some of the major hotel chains perusing his love for client interaction.
Adam’s expertise includes advice in Superannuation, Investments, Retirement Planning, Wealth Creation Strategies, Estate Planning & Personal and Business Insurance Planning.
Outside of work Adam enjoys the spending time with his family. He closely follows rugby union supporting his bellowed New Zealand All Blacks.
Jo has been a financial adviser since 1988 and is a Certified Financial Planner and a member of the Financial Planners Association. Jo also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Jo joined PFG Financial Services following the merger of Core Financial Planning with PFG and is based in our Barwon Heads office. As an owner of Core Financial Planning Jo has formulated strong client relationships over the past several years with clients on the Bellarine Peninsula and beyond.
Jo enjoys working with a variety of clients and has expertise in investment, superannuation, retirement and Centrelink advice.
Outside of work Jo is a keen traveller both locally and overseas.
Julie commenced work in the Accounting and Financial Services Industry in 1996. With a Bachelor of Arts (Education) and Bachelor of Commerce, she became a Certified Financial Planner in 2003. Julie is also a member of the Financial Planning Association. After purchasing the business she was an employee in and establishing the new office in Barwon Heads in 2004, Julie joined PFG Financial Services following the merger of Core Financial Planning with PFG in 2015. Julie has and continues to enjoy building and facilitating long term client relationships.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and loves to hear her children chuckle uncontrollably. Julie is also actively involved on the Fundraising Committee at Kinder, is a main contact for Down Syndrome Geelong and on the School Council (Finance Committee) at the local Primary School.
Head of Advice and Coaching
Since commencing his financial services career over 14 years ago, Ryan has held a variety of roles including 10 years in senior roles within AMP Limited. During his time with AMP, Ryan advised, developed and provided business consulting services to financial planners and their businesses.
Ryan brings a breadth of knowledge across all areas of financial services. He is passionate about developing long lasting relationships with his clients to ensure they achieve their goals. Ryan believes his role is to set a clear plan and help guide clients through their journey to achieving their idea of financial freedom.
Further to his practical experience, Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business degree from RMIT with a major in Financial Planning, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his young family, long distance running and traveling.
Financial Planners – Brisbane
Frank has been a Financial Adviser since 2001 and has completed his Advanced Diploma in Financial Services. Prior to becoming an adviser, Frank has come from a highly successful sales and marketing background where he won many awards for excellence in Client service. Frank is a member of The Australian Institute Of Company Directors and is currently on the AMP Advice Consultancy Group. Frank has expert knowledge across investment markets, insurances, superannuation, Centrelink entitlements and corporate superannuation structures.
On a more personal note, Frank enjoys playing golf and watching the AFL. He is also currently the Treasurer for a local Social Golf Club in Brisbane.
Certified Financial Planner™ and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, Andrew has been a financial adviser since 2006. Andrew also holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Information Systems from The University of Tasmania. Andrew has expert knowledge across investment markets, insurances, superannuation, retirement planning, Centrelink entitlements and corporate superannuation structures.
On a more personal note, Andrew enjoys most sports, in particular watching his beloved Hawthorn Football Club play, and likes to think he would be playing for them if not following a career in Financial Planning.
Karl has been a Financial Adviser since 2008. Karl attained his Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2008 and has completed his Advanced Diploma in Financial Services. Prior to that he completed a Bachelor of Business at Queensland’s University of Technology. Karl is accredited to provide advice in the areas of; personal superannuation and insurance planning, investments and savings planning, gearing and margin lending, retirement planning and Centrelink entitlements.
Outside of work, Karl enjoys playing golf, socialising over a BBQ and is a keen rugby union supporter.
Matthew has been a Financial Adviser since 2012. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Banking & Finance and Accounting. He also attained his Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2012. Matthew is accredited to provide advice in the areas of; personal superannuation and insurance planning, investments and savings planning, gearing and margin lending, retirement planning and Centrelink entitlements. He is looking forward to a long lasting career in the finance industry and hopes to deliver his services in the most professional manner possible.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys sports, both home and abroad, and likes to get heavily involved in the world of fantasy football.
Mark graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Financial Planning. Upon completion of University, Mark went through the Commonwealth Bank Financial Planning Program based in Townsville before becoming a servicing planner with the bank. Mark also worked as a financial planner with a private firm in Townsville before taking a hiatus from planning to work with BHP as a cost controller in Perth for 3.5 years. Mark now looks forward to building a career of helping people of all walks of life reach their financial goals and objectives.
Outside of work Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and their new baby daughter as well as playing a round of golf whenever he gets a chance.
Stephen has a Bachelor of Business majoring in finance from Queensland University of Technology which he obtained in 2014. He also has a background in Banking. Stephen advises in the areas of Superannuation, Personal Insurance, Investments and Savings Planning, Retirement Planning and Centrelink Entitlements.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys playing Tennis and is an enthusiastic football supporter of any code.
Carlo has been a Finance Consultant since 2003, specialising in all aspects of finance, this includes residential mortgages, commercial lending and equipment finance/leasing. Carlo has specialised knowledge across a wide range of products and lenders. Carlo has been with PFG Financial Services since February 2011, helping to provide clients with a wider range of services. Carlo has helped many clients to achieve their financial goals.
In Carlo’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching and following the Blues, golf and motor sport. His biggest passion is supporting his children in their sporting activities.
Aldo has been a Mortgage Broker for 5 years and also being a Licensed Real Estate agent, his extensive market experience makes conversations about property and finance quite easy. Having access to an extensive network of lenders allows Aldo to offer a number of services outside of residential and investment lending. These include SMSF, Commercial, Motor and Equipment finance.
Outside of work Aldo enjoys time with family, travelling and various sporting activities including golf, soccer, bike riding and Formula 1.
Senior Lending Administration
Adrian has been a part of the Financial Services Industry since 2004. Within PFG, his role is to support the brokers in Lending Services, by helping to liaise between the lenders and PFG clients. His qualifications include a Diploma in Finance (Mortgages) and he is also recognised as an Accredited MFAA Credit Advisor.
In Adrian’s spare time, he enjoys being dad for his three sons and one daughter, as well as watching them play soccer and working on small projects around the home.
Lending Administration Assistant
Melissa has been part of the PFG team since 2011 she has been a part of the Lending Service team as Mortgage Assistant. Melissa is currently studying at Swinburne University completing her Bachelor of Education (Primary). She completed Year 12 at St. Monica’s in 2011 since then she has completed Certificate 3 in Children Services and Diploma in Children’s Services from Lady Gowrie. During her studies Melissa has completed units in Business Management and Financial studies.
On a personal note Melissa enjoys socializing with family and friends, has a major interest in fashion as well as health and fitness
Scott has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1992. He has held a variety of roles including Financial Planner, Business Coach/Consultant and has been the General Manager for PFG Financial Services since 2009. Scott has completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Diploma of Financial Planning and he is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
On a more personal note, Scott enjoys golf, swimming, eating out and spending quality time with his family.
Head of Compliance and Events
Liz has worked at PFG since 1998. Liz has had many years’ experience in client services, management, operations and compliance. Liz now has the role of Head of Compliance and Events which focuses on Compliance Controls, Education and Coaching. Liz also takes the lead in project managing PFG events.
Liz’s hobbies include spending time with her family and friends. When she has time to herself she also enjoys exercising and shopping.
Debbie joined PFG in July 2016 as the Compliance Officer. Debbie has worked within the Financial Services Industry since 1998. She has held various roles which include Customer Service, Sales, Lending and Operations.
In her spare time Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has a keen interest in boating with her children and being involved in her children’s extracurricular activities.
Angela has been with PFG since March of 2004. Over this period of time, Angela has worked in a variety of roles which have allowed her to acquire the skills, experience and the knowledge to fulfil her current position today – as Projects Manager. Angela enjoys leading her team to achieve high levels of customer service, oversee client functions as well as interacting with our PFG clients. Angela has completed a Certificate in Business Management and Financial Services.
On a personal note Angela enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, shopping, dining out, travelling and helping family & friends organise social events
Kerry has worked for PFG Financial Services since May 2010 although has been in the financial industry since 2000 working for a range of different financial planning practices in both outer Melbourne and in North East Victoria. Kerry has worked in many different roles throughout her working years, ranging from retail, client services, staff and client management and currently operations.
Out of work Kerry enjoys socialising with family and friends, travelling, camping and going to the movies. Kerry is originally from country Victoria where she loves to escape to for a break.
Angie commenced her career with PFG in March 2002 and is currently studying a Diploma of Financial Services. During her time at PFG Angie has attained vast experience in Client services & General insurance, and now performs the role as a strategic Paraplanner. Angie works closely with all Financial Planners to provide our PFG clients with in depth holistic financial planning advice.
On a more personal note Angie enjoys going to the gym, exercising, being outdoors and socialising with friends and family.
Zane joined PFG in 2012 and has been working as a Paraplanner with us since 2013. He is a student at the University of Queensland and will graduate with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resources in November of this year. He has also recently commenced his Diploma of Financial Services (RG146).
Outside of work, Zane plays AFL for his local footy team the ‘Kedron Lions’ and enjoys spending time with his close friends. Zane takes a strong interest in financial planning and hopes to become a planner in the future. He is looking forward to building a career in the Finance industry.
Matthew completed his Bachelor of Business with a Financial Planning Major mid-way through 2015 at La Trobe University, and has since joined the PFG team as a full-time Paraplanner at the beginning of 2016.
Matthew enjoys his work, loves learning new things and has a keen eye for detail. He looks forward to working hard and having a long and successful career with PFG Financial Services, as a Para Planner and a Financial Adviser in the future.
Kevin began working in Financial Services in 2005. He has a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) and while he has previously worked as an Adviser, Kevin is currently focusing on Para-planning and technical support in the Barwon Heads office.
When not at work, Kevin loves spending time with his wife and children especially on the coast surfing, fishing and cycling or travelling and camping. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Wine Making from time spent working in the Wine Industry and still enjoys matching wine to quality home cooked food with Family and Friends.
Client Services – Melbourne
Head of Client Services
Dino has been part of the Financial Services Industry since 2000 and holds a Diploma of Financial Planning. He has held various roles across the industry, including within Training, Sales, Service and Operations Management and joined PFG in July 2015, as the Head of Client Services.
Dino is originally from Perth, where he enjoys visiting a few times a year to spend time with family. In his spare time, Dino also enjoys eating out with friends, exploring this great city which he loves, and is an avid participant in group fitness training.
Client Services Officer / Team Leader
Kevin joined PFG Financial Services in November 2015 after completing his Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance) Degree at Monash University. Prior to PFG, Kevin worked as an Assistant Accountant for the past 4 years while completing his university degree. However, he now hopes to build a career within the Financial Planning industry.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys travelling, watching movies, playing soccer and is a big supporter of his beloved Collingwood Football club.
Paraplanning Client Support Specialist
Melanie has recently returned to PFG after interning here in 2015, now as a full time Client Services Officer and Paraplanner. She has recently finished her Bachelor of Business with majors in both Accounting and Finance at Monash University. Melanie is looking forward to building a career in the financial planning industry with PFG.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys going to the gym, hunting for good burger places in Melbourne and spending time with family and friends.
Client Services Officer
Thomas joined PFG Financial Services in August 2016 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce (Finance/Financial Planning/Management) Degree at Deakin University. Prior to PFG, Thomas worked as an Agents Representative in the Real Estate Industry in Country Victoria and is now looking to build a career in the Financial Planning Industry.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys watching AFL, live music and takes a keen interest in Horse Racing.
Client Services – Brisbane
Client Services Officer / Team Leader
Rosalie joined PFG in January 2015 in the Client Services Team. Rosalie has over 10 years of experience in administration and customer service roles including spending some time in Melbourne working in the financial planning industry before returning to her home state of Queensland and joining the PFG Team in the Brisbane office.
In her spare time Rosalie can usually be found in the middle of a craft project, spending time with family, friends and pets.
Client Services Officer
Kaweesha joined PFG in October 2016 in the Client Services Team after completing her Bachelor of Accounting Degree at Kaplan Business School. Kaweesha has previous experience in customer service roles and has worked in banking and finance industry for two years. She is looking forward to building a career within the Financial Planning industry.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies and feeding birds in the backyard.
General Insurance Compliance & Support
Kathy joined PFG in 2011 as a General Insurance Administrator.
Kathy has worked in the Insurance industry for over 15 years in Sales & Services roles, both leading and managing teams.
Kathy has a Tier 1 in Financial Services and is accredited in Personal and Commercial products.
In her spare time Kathy enjoys blogging about interior trends and lifestyle. Kathy loves spending time with family, travelling and drinking coffee. Kathy currently works remotely from Singapore.
General Insurance Administrator
Anja has worked in the insurance industry in both Life and General in a variety of customer service focussed roles since she first started working in 1986.
She joined PFG in April 2013 as a General Insurance advisor. She is committed to providing quality customer service and further her learning within the industry.
In her spare time she is a qualified German Shepherd dog Obedience Instructor and enjoys time training and playing with her two German Shepherds (Samaya and Ziggy).
She also enjoys time with family especially her niece and nephew and going out with friends for dinner, theatre and seeing bands.
General Insurance Administrator
Karen has held a variety of roles working for Insurance Brokers over the last 20 years. With her main focus on Domestic Insurance, she holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).
Karen has joined PFG as a General Insurance Administrator and believes in providing service in a friendly, efficient and timely manner.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, weekends in country Victoria, reading and eating chocolate!
